chia seed bowl

On my journey back to being a full-time vegetarian I am discovering how simple it can be. I am starting with the basics, and winter is a great time to find a simple and wide variety of seed, nuts, fruit, vegetable. like sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, broccoli, squash, apples, bananas I think you get the point. chia seed is one of my favorite seeds to use, it is a great addition to almost anything. prep it the night before and have it ready for the morning, if you don’t like it cold you can pop it in the microwave to heat it up.



4 tablespoons chia seed

1/2 cup oats

2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1 banana

4 slices of orange or pineapple

1 teaspoon of your sweetener choice ( agave nectar, maple syrup FYI honey is not vegan,

1 tablespoon hemp seeds

sunflower seeds, walnuts, peanuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds (raw unsalted trail mix is what I used)
